Default cometic head gasket question..

first of all, i searched and didn't really find what i was looking for.

has anyone run the .078 cometic HP head gasket?

Cometic said that this gasket lowers compression by about half a point on a stock B18C1. is this accurate? is this gasket reliable?

thanks

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Cometic's MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Gaskets
These are constructed of two nitrile coated outer embossed spring steel layers with a steel inner layer that provides support to the gasket allowing multiple thicknesses. Cometic gaskets withstand the shearing forces created by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. Once the gasket takes a torque set, there is no re-torquing required. Less clamping force is required allowing for reduced bore distortion.

These gaskets have an extra shim around the combustion area to help seal better for cars with turbo, nitrous or supercharger.

I found this sheet online ... does anyone have any experiences that they can share with the thicker gaskets? I'm purchasing a .054" very soon!

Thanks

for Hondas i have only seen , .30, .36, .43

from what i heard Inline Pro uses Cometic gaskets with their name on it . I dunno how true it is, but thats what i heard.
Also if you go that thick you will need to tune cam timing , becuase the timing will change alot.

Just to try and clear it up a little ...
I have the Cosmetic HP 0.057" headgasket and it lowers my JDM B16A compression by 0.751:1 over the stock 0.029" headgasket.

Anyone know roughly how much this will effect timing?
