Default Clocking a turbo

Does anyone know which bolts to loosen to clock the turbo a different direction?

I'm assuming it's the 2 bolts that you can see in the middle, going through the exhaust housing and into the compressor housing? There are 4 of these bolts total. Thanks.

mine was already clocked when i bought mine used. but i do not think its those. i believe its the other bolts that hold down the golden plates. (4 bolts on the bottom) and there are similiar ones on the turbine side.

the 5 or 6 that hold the gold metal pieces.

i had to do both so i could get mines just right.

Are there certain torque specs I should follow, or just make them snug?

I don't see how these golden plates would allow me to turn the housings... doesn't look like it's holding anything in place except for bracing it.

those bolts that are circled in red are the proper ones to clock/turn the housings. Try it out and see. When we did my friends turbo those are the xact ones we used. We just snugged them down and used the criss cross pattern when we tightened them up.

I'll take your guys's word for it So are there any torque specs I should use or just make them tight?

don't overtighten the bolts into the compresor housing it's aluminum!!! Call the place you purchased the turbocharger from for proper torque specs.. it shouldn't be all that much for the compresor side, probably a bit more for the exhaust/turbine side.
