Max boost with stock sleeves and stock bore???
just wondering how many psi of boost you can get out of stock sleeves? oh and of course forged pistons and rods....race gas or pump gas..just hit me up with some replies
i have pushed over 450 to the wheels with race gas and standalone on stock b18c1 sleeves and bore. the car has made over 50 runs so far and has been driven over 100 miles on the street. still holding strong.
Hypertune Mark from Australia is running 1.8 bar and revs to 10K rpm with a stock bore and an OS Giken piston/rod combo. ECU duties are handled by Motec. Mark's car has run a traction limited 11.5 @ 131mph.
it will be a completely stock gsr motor...I HIGHLY knowledgeable person on the board told me I can run 10psi on pump gas and 14psi on race gas STOCK gsr...anyone know what kinda dyno#'s that would translate too...60-1 turbo btw...it's so big because I'll be building up the motor as soon as I get the $ so mine as well get the turbo kit I'll be goin with ya know
oh tuned with hondata of course
also what could I run with let's say...stock bore JE 9:1 pistons and Eagle Rods (stock head)

I red somewhere that honda sleeves with PERFECT tuning can handle up to 20-22 psi of boost...and I think Jinxproof has proven that..
the weakest link in a honda bottom end are the pistons, rods, and rings..not the sleeves or the crank...peoples has underestimate the honda motors...
the key is tuning...

I heard that they can handle 29 lbs. This is what the physics says, but actually achieving that safely would be nearly impossible it seems....matter of fact a friend of mine was running 25 lbs on a bone stock b16 for 1 run, well half of one run and then a piston blew...the sleeves were still holding though
pm st00pid. i just got thru reading a post of his about 20 psi on a stock ls block. of course he had tuned the hell out of it with the hondata 4b.

On another note. I plan on boosting 15-17 on pump gas on stock LS sleeves.
Prolly 22 on race gas.
