the fly wheel? or the crank where the flywheel bolts to?

if ur talking about the crank just look up the specs of the bolt in the helms like go to the clutch install section and look where it says the amount of ft-lbs it takes for that bolt under all that it should also say the thread dimensions....

something like m11x1.5 that would be the measurement for the head bolts....

just look for that number then go buy a die with that measurement and its easy to rethread.... it will bolt on like new.

im not really sure what the hell your talking about i just know the general area your talking about.... but for any messed up threads this will solve your problem.

obviously he's taking about rethreading the crank, read the title. But yes, you are correct, rethreading it will make it almost good as new

man oh man i already see a buncha problems with that engine..

go buy a torque wrench and make sure u tighten those bolts properly...

but yeah just drill out that broken bolt and rethread it... buy a new bolt and reinstall the whole thing to specs..

also... your flywheel is badly heat scorched and it has either cracks or deep scratches...... if its cracked buy a new one if its just scratched get it resurfaced...

and use the right tools for the right job.... if u dont eventually your going to realise that you should..
not only does it save a lot of time but your build will not snap and your engine will last longer when everything is done to spec.
