Default ls vtech

my motor is going to get bored out. is it beter to just bore it .25 over or just go to 84 mm. just wondering because i need to buy knew pistons and should i run Ls rods or should i get after market golden eagles. and for anybody trying to get rid of a b16 head or b17 head i'm up for grabs...

1st- its Vtec
2nd- bad spelling
3rd- you need to do some research because it seen like you dont know a lot...

84 mm will make it 2.0L, you can use Ls rods make sure you use ARP rod bolts , bnut if you got money buy eagle rods..

any reason why you want to bore it?

If you're on stock sleeves, good luck w/ the 84mm bore. Stock LS sleeves can be overbored as much as far as 81.5mm for boosted applications and an 82mm bore for NA. If you're running the B20 block, the stock bore is 84mm. Anything more on either engine requires aftermarket sleeving

Also, your rod choice depends on what you plan to do with the engine. Golden Eagle doesnt make rods, but Eagle does. If you're running stock pistons, then save your money and reuse stock rods. The pistons are the weakpoint anyway...
