I'm from the civic forum. I thought you guys would want to see what I did this morning.

Here are the stock lights


Bake in oven for 10 mins at 275 degrees to loosen the glue.


Remove from the oven. Beware the headlights are hot!
Pry glass away from the housing using a screwdriver.


Tape off area thats not going to be painted.


Remove the bulb shields and set them aside. Sand the area to be painted with 600 grit sand paper. Clean dust off with laquer thinner. Spray 5-10 light coats of high temp paint. I used 1200 degree flat black BBQ grille paint. Let dry, reinstall the bulb shield, pull off tape and seal the lenses back up with clear silicone.

Finished product.

I have no pics of them on his car because he had to leave. Total cost for wannabe JDM headlamps: $14.77. Time spent 3 hrs.

you know what... I'm actually kinda impressed.

 

I'll try to get some installed pics in a couple of days.

 

we did the same thing on my friends CL headlights on his Teg.

 

looks damn good! I am afraid i would **** it up though =/

be sure to post back with installed pics.

 

sorta like when i had my tails in the oven when i was doing the clear signal mod

I didn't get a chance to do the corner lenses. But here are two pics of the headlights installed. In the bottom are the black housing projectors he had installed.
