I don't have a welder so what would you recommend for connecting the oil return line to the oil pan. I was thinking about drilling a hole and taping it thenscrewing a fitting in and connecting the line to a fitting.
Someone told me liqued weld...but dosen't that stuff break easy?!
-thanks

i remember someone here used JB weld and it was A ok. I forgot who though. Why can't you find a welder? You can just go to any muffler shop and they'll do it for like 10 bucks.
you can use a bulkhead fitting. look at anplumbing.com or bakerprecision.com to see what they are. its basically a fitting that will go through and then use a nut to secure it on the inside.
would suck if the nut came loose and it might not seal very well but its an option

JB weld worked like **** for me. I drilled a 1/2 hole in my pan and used a 1/2" npt - 5/8" barbed brass fitting. I've had no leaks and i think you would have to cut the fitting off to get it off again.
My JB Weld oil pan fitting broke and I am a pro at using it.

I drilled and then tapped a hole because no one wanted to weld anything to an aluminum oil pan(I'm glad nobody did). I used a pipe fitting(threaded on both sides) and taped the flange that came with the kit and it works ok, but I wouldn't recommend it. Find another oil pan and drive to any location to get it welded, you will be glad you did.
Seriously, just go to any muffler shop and pay 10-20 bucks to have it welded. I know jb weld works good for people, but since its so easy why not just be sure its not going anywhere and get it welded for real?
i would recommend taking off your oil pan and getting it welded at a shop. its inexpensive. then, after the weld... apply some jb weld and make sure that **** is welded clean. i had mine welded and it leaked over time. i just applied some jb weld as well as some weld compound and it seems to be holding up so far. welding it and applying jb weld to seal any future leaks is the way to go.
