Got my Neukin manifold and had this in mind from the start. Alex at Neukin worked with me and hooked me up with a kick *** manifold/3inch DP and Turbo. After lots of measuring and thinking I decided to mount the radiator under the t-bar.

First I cut the bracket that the condensor mounted to out.

This is the C&R radiator 3/4 style btw

next I mounted the Radiator under the t-bar


Here is a peek with the t-bar installed


here is the mount setup, used a fabbed up angle aluminum with rubber bushing to take some of the shock of a lowered car. bolted in and using the radiator lower tabs.

30 seconds and 4 bolts are there. If I need to check it more than that then I have a leak!

I'm interested to know what the front bumper looks like after putting the IC so far forward.

since the radiator cap is lower than the outlet on the head, do you plan to add an "inline filler-neck" placed in the upper rad hose someplace? if you dont have this in your system, you willl have alot of problems with trapped air.

The filler neck is the same height at the top of the upper radiator hose on the head.

got me thinking.. appologies for the thread jack.

are there other ways around this problem? (besides an inline filler-neck) I had a hell of a time getting rid of all the air in my coolant and now have to bleed it again this spring.

 

nice to see someone think outside the box. I've been wondering about a similar setup to this for a while.

not really. you could try one of those vacum lifts on your coolant system. but they dont really work all that well. your best bet is to put an inline neck on. its simple and it works. but its not the best looking thing but what else would ya do.

i have mine mounted this way also.

 

i love how much room the setup makes.. i have intercooler setup backdoor-style. works great...turbo goes directly into the intercooler

when bleeding the cooling system park the car up a steep hill or have the front on jackstands.. anything to get the front up

 

i have no problem bleeding mine, the radiator cap is highest in the system, probably higher than factory.. its a CSR inline (smallest billet one jegs sells)

i had to make custom radiator/intercooler supports, and a custom crossmember
