Ok well im in the market for a s2000 now. When was the last year they revved to 9k?

Are there any other differences besides motors?

what years did these changes occurr.

Ive never driven a 2.2L. is the extra torque better or does the lower redline kill it?

i ask because im looking at a 2003 and i dont want to be dissapointed i didnt spend the extra cash for a 2.2L

i believe 2003 was the last year the redline was 9000 rpm. Correct me if i'm wrong.

 

i know the 03 revs to 9k. ive never seen a 04. but the 05 is 8k for sure.

 

according to what i found, 2004+ models have a redline of 8300rpm.

Honda says on their site that the redline for the 2006 model is 8000rpm. I don't know if they rounded down or what.

 

Mine is 05 and redline to 8k...the low end torque is very good... i cant imagine taking them to 8k

 

what about things like interior or exterior. what changed besides rims?

2001-2003 - AP1
2004+ - AP2

...those are your year differences, motor change years, redline change years, and so on and so forth.

You need to do some of your own homework before you come ask the near weekly newbie round of Q&A...
