Differences between 04,05,06 model years?
I"m in the market for a used car and trying to decide on getting back into a S2000 or go with the TSX. I've had a S2000 and know the car well and the changes through the years.
Can someone cover what the key differences were between the 04-06 yrs?
Also, what first year problems are there in the 04? Is it worth only looking at 05+?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: Differences between 04,05,06 model years? (TRM04)
04 is the first model year for the TSX so according to many people on the forum there are minor errors such as misaligned trim pieces and some rattling problems.
05 is the same body style as 04 and basically the same car but with some more quality control after acura gained experience with the 04
Here are all the changes I found on the revision for the 06 model
Powertrain
Horsepower increased to 205 SAE net (Rev 8/04) @ 7000 rpm
Torque increased to 164 lbs-ft. SAE net (Rev 8/04) @ 4500 rpm
Larger intake valves
Increased valve timing and lift
Increased intake and exhaust flow
Reduced engine pumping losses
Stronger automatic transmission to complement increased horsepower
Higher capacity clutch
Higher capacity torque converter
Chassis
Electronic Brake Assist
Increased rigidity of upper A-arm reduces NVH
Exterior Styling
Restyled hood and grille
Redesigned headlights and combination taillights
Redesigned front and rear bumpers
Fog lamps are integrated into the lower bumper
More pronounced side sills
New nine-spoke alloy wheels
Flat wiper blades increase visibility and reduce wind noise
Four new exterior colors: Alabaster Silver Metallic replaces Satin Silver, Glacier Blue Metallic replaces Meteor Silver Metallic, and Deep Green Pearl, and Royal Blue Pearl are added
Interior
2-position memory for driver's seat
Auxiliary audio jack in center console for digital music players
HandsFreeLinkÔwireless telephone interface
Sports steering wheel
Multi-info display
New meter face
New wood-patterned trim for models with Parchment interior
Metallic garnish added to shift ****
Smart Maintenance system
Enhanced Acura Navigation System (optional)
Larger buttons and fonts
Faster processing speed
Points of Interest (POI) database increased to 7 million
HandsFreeLink calling to POI
More voice recognition commands (653)
Zagat Survey(TM) restaurant guide
Exit ramp services feature
Enhanced in-glass antennae for improved radio reception
My advice is to get the 06 of course because you will get a low mileage one most likely. That of course comes with a higher price but I think its well worth it given the extra features. Basically it comes down to your budget. If you're feeling lucky, I would try some dealers since I have heard that there are still brand new 06's on the lots being pushed out at amazing prices (~ 25-26K OTD without navigation). Good luck.

oh and if you are by chance considering an 07 for some reason, the only extra feature you get is a tire pressure monitoring system
