b16 timing? red mark/white mark
hello, just about to put the timing belt back on as I finally got a water pump... and now I need to set everything back to top dead center. I got both cams set up with the side marks aligned with the black plastic rear timing cover, I am assuming that is right, and then I just need to know which mark on the crank pulley I need to align with what... any help would be spiffy. thanks!
its been a while but i think there should be a mark no the bloce and the small pully that the timing belt goes on. u can use a long extenstion to double check in the spark plug hole on the number 1 cyl.

There is a pointer on the timing cover that lines up with
the white mark..
The red mark is for setting the ignition timing..

If you have all the covers and the pulley off,
There is a line or dot on the lower cog/gear which runs the timing belt
and an arrow it lines up with on the oil pump..

hey guys im having the same problem with my jdm b16a all the marks like up. cams and crackshaft are all at tdc, i put it all together and it vivrates really bad. i replaced the motor factury motor mounts to some aftermarket (torque solitions) mounts. could that be where the vivration is coming from or do i need to adjust the ignition timing??? thanks in advance
