Got to do a timing belt tonight. Do i use the red or white mark

Default Got to do a timing belt tonight. Do i use the red or white mark

when setting the timing on a b16a. i have to have the crank pulled lined up with the red mark or the white mark on the timing cover? thanks

White. The red marks are for setting ignition timing.

Agreed. White will be TDC for #1 cyl.
