The Tire Rack and Discount Tire are two different companies.

The Tire Rack is based in South Bend, Indiana, and is almost exclusively a mail-order company. (I say "almost" because I know you can drive to their facility in South Bend - it's right off the toll road - and buy tires and have them installed there. I think they have three other warehouses around the country. They don't have any other retail facilities of their own, although they have a network of thousands of approved installers where you can have your tires shipped for installation.)

Discount Tire has a mail-order division (Discount Tire Direct) as well as retail stores all over the country, under their own name as well as the name America's Tire.

We have heard (above) about the possibility that Discount Tire may repeat their offer of $100 off a set of tires or wheels. I have never seen the Tire Rack hold any kind of sale that applies to everything, although they frequently offer specials and closeouts on specific tires.

When comparing prices, don't forget that Discount Tire Direct offers free shipping, and most other tire retailers don't.

I talked to a friend and he told me it is going to be most likely a $50.00 instant rebate instead of the $100.00 instant rebate. And that it will be towards the end of the month. Its all rumors from here on out!!!!!

Depends when you ordered them... they got very backlogged with orders.

I ordered on Thursday and received them the following Tuesday.

i order mine last time they had the sale and i got it for 200 dollars cheaper than my brother got the exact same tires for and the shipping was super fast I ordered them friday night and recieved them that monday!!
