First off, I drive a 96 Civic CX. 2nd sorry it too so long for me to post back, the bogart wheels I bought were used and ended up being the wrong offset- as in rear wheel drive offset, seller told me wrong. I had my gall bladder out. Then I went back and ordered a set of 15 x7 5Zigen Fn01r-c with 42 offset. I'm still running the 225/50-15 tires. They are going to fit in the rear fender wells just fine ( I have some negative camber) but the front is gonna take a lot of modification to fit. Tires stick out past the wheel well a good 1/4". I'd say an easy max wheel width of <7.5 with minimum of >45 offset with a <215 tire size would clear relatively easy on an EK, EJ..

you think 16x7 with 45 offset and 215's would fit nicely? higher offset is in the fender more?

yes, they should fit fine--you couldn't slam the car, unless you rolled the fenders. If the wheel width stays the same, the higher the offset goes, the more the wheel goes towards the motor.
