Custom DIY lower Tie Bar.
This is my DIY lower tie bar. It took me about 3 hours to build. It attaches to the 2 holes above the lower control arm bolts. Many think that ground clearance will be a problem but it is not. Let me know what you think.
Overall view of the bar.
The plate that the bar is attached to the car with.

Re: (DOHCter)
Well Im gonna go ahead and give the guy props for making his own **** and not buying it. But I will also say sand the dang thing and paint it up and call it a day. It may need to be shortened so it wont touch the ground.
Not to thread jack or anything... but here is one that I fabbed up for a friend. It can be made VERY inexpensively... Hit me up if you want any help or suggestions.
Its amazing how so many people can't even find one good thing to say... Didn't your mother ever tell you... If you don' t have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!!!!!
Good job and don't get discouraged!!!

Remember that the intent is to tie the inner ends of the lower control arms together. Running the bar directly across will make it more effective, lighter, and will reduce any ground clearance issues.

Guess I won't try to build anything anymore since it is apparent that I should just buy everything. So much for trying...

One thing that maybe you didnt realize, is that those are the holes for a Rear sway bar, a much more effective modification to the suspension.
As for your fab, just try and do a straight bar for the lca bolts. And this time take your time after test fitting it, and finish it properly. (Sand, Prime, paint)

Re: Custom DIY lower Tie Bar. (L-CON1)
It just that it hangs really low and would be really easier to catch it on something and would rip off your subframe it you made contact with it. just get rid of the two bars on the sides that put it down closer to the ground and just make it straight across.
