I could have sworn I remember seeing Mazworx post regarding a honda specific battery relocation kit?I cant seem to find it for the life of me.I have searched and looked at all the kits on Summit racing and Jegs.I just wanted to ask if anyone in here has made their own or if you have used any of the kits and how did they work with the half size battery in our civics? Thanks Antonio
i had it relocated to my trunk area in my hatch. track tech told me it needs to be in a metal box, with 3/8 rod for tiedown and it needs to have an external shutoff.
im putting the battery in my crx behind the bumper cover in front of the wheel well. saw someone on here do it and i like the idea.

I was thinking of setting it up through the tail light so when you go to the track you can just remove the light and attach the arms to the kill switch .That way it is reversible with minor mods.I still want to know what all you guys did in your own cars or whether you made your own kit or bought one?
First I had an optima D51 yellow top in the trunk of my crx, now it's a sealed Marine battery, much more CCA's than optima. Plus the D51 is discontinued, I bought my Kill/on off switch from harbor freight tools for $.99, works perfectly. I have it strapped down for the moment, but I will be building a box over the winter for it.

Well since it's a sealed battery, I have it laying on it's side. I strapped it down with 2 towing straps(to keep it from sliding around), and mounted the cut off switch on the inside hatch wall. Later down the road I will have to permernately bolt it down with a box, but that will come in a few months, no rush for me.

It depends on your local tracks, for test/tune it's okay, but if you go to any sactioned event you need to have it external. Luckly if I want to go to any event, I just remove the hatch lock and the kill switch fits right were you put the key!(takes a few mins to relocate the kill switch)
