Default Differences between Summit Racings & Moroso Battery Relocation Kit

I see the summit kit is only like $50 bucks and the moroso is more like 200.....

Can someone lay down the differences between the two and explain if and why the Moroso is a better kit.....thanks

BTW- its for a 91 civic HB

Summit kit is just a mounting kit. It is meant for use at the track in a vehicle where the battery and any fumes are kept out of the passenger area by being enclosed in your trunk.

The Moroso unit (I thought it was more like $100? Saw one that fit the bill in Summit for $96, I thought, it was blue) is a sealed enclosure for use at the track in a hatchback, you have to drill holes in the floor for the vents.

In both cases, the battery box has to be bolted down, battery fastened securely.

I personally have the summit kit and i am plenty satisfied. although from what i have seen the moroso battery box is a bit better quality, but its up to you if its worth it or not.

i dont see spending 100 on the moroso cable kit though. you can get the summit one without the box for 25 and its basically the same thing. then just decide on which box you want.

Autozone sells that same style box as summits for about 10 dollars as well, just fyi if you cant decide right away.

i think i am just gonna go with the Moroso kit.. From what i understand all other kits (i.e . Summit,Jegs ) kits u have to have a rear firewall for those to be legal in nhra or any class for that matter. Where the Moroso is a sealed box and it doesnt require a rear firewall to be legal in nhra, idrc ect.. events ...

Moroso box is the only legal one to use in a hatchback.
