Default whats your opinion on the JDM B16A SiR I transmission non LSD?

ok so i bought a trans maybe a year ago from someone and they told me that it was a b17 transmission. so last night i decided to open it up and find out if it was really a b17 cause it had no sticker on it. i start to do all my calculations and it came out to be a JDM B16A SiR I non lsd. is this a good transmission? btw its going with a semi top half built LS motor.

I hate cable JDM transmissions. Parts are too hard to get unless you get them from gearspeed (who requires you to buy everything minus the gears, just as dealers do).

I hate that there's not much available for them. I have seen rebuild kits for the 90-91 usdm teg which would work on a b16 s1 or j1. Actually I think SMSP carries them.

Ive had mine for over 100K now and still shifting great . Im not really hard on trans's though. I really need to get an Mfactory FD for it.

Bearings aren't the problems I have. Its the hubs, sliders, gears, and forks that are hard to get.

Be careful of the weak diff pins, they like to eat themselves

Which is why I just spent a month trying to find a good cable B diff. Only took buying 6 to get one that was good.

Kind of hard to do when the housing is broken, cracked, or the gears have seized onto the pin.
