sometimes the transmission bogs down when in reverse..... could this be a filter issue? it feels like you are pressing the brakes at the same time you are backing up. this is the only gear it does this in. and it doesn't do it all the time.

 

toasted.....find another tranny or have that one rebuilt.

Forward clutches are engaging while in reverse......

 

can this be rebuilt cheaper than replaced?

 

$2000+ to rebuild, $500 replacement from a junkyard.
