Default 2000 civic ex tranny issues

the car has 90k miles on it. if i pull the shifter into second hard it will stay in gear fine. but if i hit the pedal (escpecially around turns) it pops out and if i shift easy it will pop out of second gear. is this the syncro? if i pull the tranny and take it to a shop what are the going to replace?

it could be the syncro or the gear it self is messed up, i would bet the syncro is bad., my friends cable b16 does this and he was told syncros are bad,

look around it may be cheeper just to replace the tranny,
but im 90% sure they will replace the syncro for the gear, but if you do it the right way save your self the hassle later on and replace all syncors.

Somebody please 'splain to me why a bad synchro would cause it to pop out of gear. I admit great ignorance here, but I thought the synchro just aided in meshing the gears smoothly as you shifted, and a bad synchro would cause grinding of the gears.

Are the shifting linkages maybe mis-adjusted, or have too much play, so it's not going all the way into second gear? If so, this may be way simpler to fix than pulling out the transmission.

i there something wrong with the linkage i highly doubt it would only affect one gear.
its worth a check, if your going to pull get ready to deal with the bitch pin, sometimes its easy but 90% of the times its a real bitch lol
