Main seal leak?
Well after a long time of having clutch problems I think I found the problem.
I did have midnight performance in sacramento remove and inspect my transmission (my car wouldnt go in reverse) they said it was fine, the problem was my pressure plate had a chunk of clutch wedged in it.
well same thing happened to me when i pulled my clutch off today, but I had alot of carbon chunks.
here are pictures of the main seal
tell if you think this could cause a problem?.. my clutch always used to chatter/whine if you slipped it for a smooth take off.. do i need a new seal?

I always replace the rear main seal when replacing the clutch...unless it was recently done...most any reputable shop should do this as well.
It is definitely leaking- but doesn't look like there's enough leaking to contaminate the friction disc, causing a chatter issue.
Replace the seal, inspect the flywheel/clutch parts

Use a seal puller or a flat head screw driver and pull it out. Careful to not scratch any of the surfaces.
Lube the new one up and careful drive it in...best is to use a seal driver if you have one, otherwise, just work your way slowly around the seal until it sits flush.
