I've been trying to remove this damn shift fork for a while now. It's literally the last thing I need to do before I can swap auto to manual swap my ef. There was a bolt in the middle of the shift for and I figured it would just slide out but it's not moving off of the shift fork shaft at all. Am I missing some clip or something?
OP - Nope, just remove the bolt and slide it out. Sometimes you need to work the arm on the outside by twisting it back and forth while you pull out on it. If it is seized you may need to pry on the outside arm some to get it to budge.
Thanks for the replies. I got it out finally. I put a wrench on the fork part to hold it in place and beat the lever with a hammer until it broke loose. Took forever but I finally got it out. I installed the new but my new throw out bearing didn't fit. It's completely different from the one that was in there. I think it's because I have a 92-00 clutch kit while this is a 88-91 trans. Going to order a new throw out bearing soon.
