Help GSR only grinds at high rev
Setup is: F20b to GSR trans. H2B FTW
The car drives fine no grinds at low lobe. The gears do feel a bit sticky though. I have a new ACT 6 puck installed, not the problem. What I am thinking is my 160k mile clutch system (slave and master cylinder) arn't opening like they should. I already bought both haven't put them on yet. I only grind at redline, 8700rpm, or close to that. 3rd gear mostly by the way. I know the common thing is 3rd gear failure in hondas. I'm not going to replace the third gear sencro untill I can get a good deal on an LSD.
If I replace these parts will I get better shifts? I have a few races coming up quick answers would be great.

Its always a good idea to change the hydraulic system components on higher mileage vehicles. As far as the grind. Typically it can be any of the following causing a grind: Sleeve, Synchro, and/or Gear. They all work together. Most B-series vtec transmissions need all three of them and the 3-4 fork in most cases.

Re: Help GSR only grinds at high rev
If you just grind, you need a synchro sleeve. if you grind to the point of sometimes missing the gear completely or very hard to shift, need sleeve, hub, and synchro. If you grind and pop out, you need all of these plus a new gear itself. Hope it helps.
Oscar
P.S. Replacing just a synchro will NOT make a difference.
