Would a Fuel Cell in my trunk be worth it?
This is for my 88 CRX DX Mind you...
I'm thinking about cutting out my spare wheel holder, welding in a solid peice of sheet metal to fit, adding supports and putting in 2 fuel cells (One 91 octain, One 100 Octain Low Lead, two different pumps with a cross switch to block one line and shut off one fuel pump while activating the other.) The plan is later on when I add a turbo, I can switch it from high boost to low boost or the other way around without having to worry about knocks (not saying I wont monitor them anyway).
The old gas tank of course will be dropped, the 100 oct. will hold 5 gallons, the 91 will hold 10 gallons. The 91 Octain though is goina be a tank from a dune-buggy (Sand/street rail, Meyers Manx, Baja Bug)
While the 100 Octain will be the traditional looking fuel cell.
Also, what taking the Gas tank out will allow me to do is give my exhaust a straight shot back and just one 45 degree bend to let it flow out. What I like about the Dune-Buggy tank is I can customize a fuel gauge to work with it from an airplane while I wouldn't really have to worry about the 100 octain because I would keep it topped off and I wouldn't use it often.
What do you guys think? Worth it or not?

i think it would only be worth it if after adding the turbo and you do correct tuning and find you need to run the 100 octane
Wasn't going to buy the Square Cell until then but I still wanted to add the Dune-Buggy tank before I get the car running again. I still have alot of work ahead of me and I'm to a point where I'm cutting off extra metal so I figured I would ask now.
