two gas tanks
ok I working on building a 10 second street del sol ( sleeved b18c1 turbo) my question is could I put a small 5 - 10 gallon fuel cell in the trunk and have a switch in the car to switch gas tanks ( I was thinking a switch from a dual tanked truck might work ) the reason I wanna do this is so I could be driving around on 10 psi and 93 octane and If I wanna turn up the boost I could just switch to the tank of race fuel
please let me know if this has been done or is doable

Absolutely. The only difficult part for you will be that you need to also run a switching device on your fuel return line so you don't pump all your good fuel into your pump gas tank hehe. I often do a similar with street nitrous setups by running a single 1 gal fuel cell and dedicated fuel pump for the nitrous system.

manual valve and T off the return. electric switch for off and on for each fuel pump. only bad thing about the simple setup would be that you have to open the hood to switch the return
Yeah, I guess as long as you build a proper firewall around the cell that would work just fine. Give me till fall and you guys won't need to worry about it, just another pair of bottle brackets and another bottle. Propane Rules!
