My car is a 1995 honda civic with a gsr /b16 head setup. car runs fine with normal driving. It accelerates hard and smooth. when I come back down from accelerating hard to 6, 000 rpm's and to attempt drive the car at normal speeds the car bucks, misfires, surges until I shut the engine off and restart it. It never stalls on its own and idles fine when the problem occurs. I just can't accelerate until I restart the car. It does it with vtec connected or disconnected.

 

have u checked ur exhaust cat and headers? sounds like something internal.
