Default What's tha diff?

What's the difference between a LS motor and a B20 motor, I know that the B20 is bigger b/c of the 84mm bore, but what's the big difference or are they the same motor(meaning same block etc...) and the only difference it that the B20 has a 84mm bore to make it a 2.0l?

It's basically the same block but they are NOT from the same cast... If you ever look at B20B/Z the casing looks a lil weaker than that of a B18C but for the most part they are kind of similar... Then take a look at an LS and you'll see what I mean, the reinforcements on the front look like nothing... BUT the good thing about the older B18A blocks is they still came with a PCV "box" system the B18B and B20B/Z do not... It doesn't really matter but it's something I like if you don't plan on running an external catch can on an LS/CRVTEC... They do happen to run the same crank, same nonVTEC water pump, etc... But for the actual casing from the outside it may be a lil stronger but the sleeves are weaker due to their one piece design... Hope this helps, Latez
