Default whats needed to convert from a Hybrid?

I didn't know where to post this so mods please move it if need be.

Has anyone here dropped in a new motor and and got rid of the battery pack from their Civic Hybrid? If so what was needed? (other than the motor and harness)

The reason I am asking this is the battery pack is $3500 to replace and I am thinking it might be cheaper to convert the car to "all motor" without the IMA. I could really careless about not havng a Hybrid as long as I keep the car as I get to use the HOV lane.

The only real thing that is important to me is keeping the AC. I don't need a K series motor or anything like that. Thanks in advance for any input.

This will be going into an 03.
