yeah..i changed the pistons when i changed the clutch, so they both went through a 500+mile break in. let's just say i didnt treat it very nicely after the break in.

Well, I have heard many good things about these cluthes so I would not say crap on them over this. I hate to nit pick, but was the clutch for sure installed correctly? Also, how much power and torque were you putting to it?
Also, did you have the flywheel resurfaced before you installed it?

CM is no good. Go with an ACT next time man. I had both and the CM cost more and couldn't handle the boost but the cheaper ACT ate it up. Go figure.

Is that Kevlar or Fibertuff lining? You are lucky that the disc which is a modified stock unit didn't "blow up" on you. I have to shake my head at some of these manufactures that pass off their clutches as performance/race clutches.
I'll say this 1,001 times get an ACT or Action. Nuff said.
This one won't break and lasts a long, long, long time as the kids in Santa Clarita, CA can tell you who beat the **** out of the clutches for 2 years straight and counting.
Also it can be driven chatter free.

Clutches are prettly low tech. How ******* long does it take a manufacturer to come up with a better clutch. It's not like all of the sudden there are clutch problems. This has been happening for a while and these manufacturers haven't addressed the problems. Are they a true performance company? IMO, no.

Re: this is what happens when you beat on a clutchmasters stage 3. (97CivicFerio)
i installed it myself. i used a clutch alignment tool, torqued the pressure plate bolts down correctly, etc. the flywheel was a brand new clutchmasters aluminum lightweight flywheel (love it btw ).
it was on a very lightly modified d16z6. the only race parts on the car were the flywheel and clutch. everything else was honda. like i say i wasn't nice to it. but when it was in it's prime, it shifted fantastically. i've never shifted a car that fast and that hard. it was great......for less than a year.
