we use ACT in all of the street set ups we do. never had a warranty or a complaint about one. wish i could say the same about some of the other brands. had to quit selling a certain brand due to too many problems.

I think i know what brand you are talking about.. i remember reading something you said about them... Like i said this is the 2nd Comp clutch in less than 20k miles i have put in this car and they both came out looking like this...im done with CC..

Hopefully the ACT will be good for me, i should have just gotten one of those in the begining! oo well you live and learn..

Wish me luck as this is what I'm running now. 100 miles thus far.

Side note: I used the spec stage 5 cintered iron unsprung clutch and it held 600whp and 400 something wheel torque for about 25k miles of daily driving at 20 1/8 passes on a 2900 lbs rsx. My only complain is that it's an animal. Unlike the comp clutch, spec stage 5 was like an on/off switch with NO playroom whatsoever. You can't downshift without jerking the car hard as hell and you have to change gears at specific rpm ranges or it will jerk the car around because of the harsh instant engagement. During the break in period, it is impossible to take off from a stop without chirping the tires. That all only applies for daily driving. If you shift that b!tch like a pro when getting on it then it's a clean instant engagement. 25k on this clutch considering the power levels is not bad at all if you ask me.

By the way, I got to thinking about it. I think the 6 puck would of probably been best for your application as they can dissipiate heat better than the 4 puck. Once the 4 puck get's hot, it holds the same as the 6 puck anyways and can flake off if there is enough heat which seems to be the case here. Just a thought.

How will a 6puck dissipate heat better?

More surface contact area = better heat dissapation.
