2.25" cat on a system that has a 2.5" collector and catback?

Carsound is definetly a good company, but go with 2.5" so you have a properly matched exhaust system.

2" header collector, 2.25" cat, and 2.5" cat-back would be a nicely stepped setup.

If the kamikaze has a modified 2.5" collector, the 2.5" cat would be essential.

kamikaze is a 4-1 2.5" collector, designed for supercharged applications.

going 2" to 2.25" to 2.5" is not going to be properly stepped since you will just have sudden increases in diameter, you want to begin the stepping at the B pipe.

I have yet to see any place where you can get a kamikazee header for a B series engine that is not 4-1 2.5"

Seams very counter productive to shrink the tubing after the primaries.

Taken from Kamikaze's site:

"For Extreme racing: Kamikaze Zero header !
Zero has a 2 1/2" down pipe with a collector that
fits stock location. For the serious racer we give the
option of an all out 2 1/2" opening exhaust system."

um, yes 2 1/2 = 2.5" ?

Maybe I am not understand what you are saying. It never was a discussion about if it lines up where the stock collector does, it was about the size of the collector, which is 2.5" in diameter.

I take this to mean that Kamikaze offers a stock-sized or optional 2.5" collector, and this diagram on the site also seems to indicate this with such comments as "Stock Replacement, Easy Installation" and "Stock Locator":

Dave Stadulis of SMSP also references the two available collector sizes for the Kamikaze header in this thread and there are numerous other archived threads, such as this one in which a choice of collector sizes are mentioned. I will admit that I have no first-hand information regarding this, but all of the information that I have seen/collected indicates that more than one collector size is indeed available on the Kamikaze.
