DC JDM 4-1 vs Kamikaze
Kamakaze headers are made like junk though. The coating on mine wore off totally, the downpipe was too long, and it kept blowing gaskets. I didnt notice a difference when I installed it either, remember this was on a JRSC H22, not a b series though...
Anyone else use a Kami?
It made good power though. My friend put one on his car, but we got the ITR version. Coincidentally, the ITR version fits the Civic Si perfectly. If I had known that before, I would have bought the ITR version and probably have kept it.Sonny
I have installed Kamakazi header's on many cars and find they work and fit very well. I buy the 2.5" type R header's from Endyn.
The only problem I found is they tend to blow the gasket between the top and bottom section. THE PROBLEM : The gasket they send you with the header is like 1/4 " thick, once you put the thing together and tighten it up everything seems fine, But, when the gasket gets hot is "shrinks" , it then makes the bolts a little loose a blows the gaskets and in some cases the bolts fall out.
TO FIX IT : Buy a copper gasket ( Mr Gasket sell them), the size is 2.5" 3 bolt, change the bolts to Grade 8 , 3/8th" x1.5",Put it together the same way and torque it to 45 lbs , check it once more after it heated up one time.
I have done many including my own and none of them has had problem since. Just thought I would share this for the people that are tired of changing gaskets.
Back to the original post, I found the Kamakzi picked up more top end than the DC JDM header, it did lose 2-3hp around 2500 to 4000 rpm but made 6-8 hp from 4000 to red line. This was done a GSR running 10 psi.

Will the Kamikaze for the ITR from Endyn fit a GSR?
Ive heard different stories on this...Im not worried about the connection to the cat since the cat will be custom, and I know it will bolt to the head...will it fit? I could just pop my 02 sensor that normally goes in the cat (94-95 GSR) into the bung on the header without any problems, correct?

The Type R version is just about 4 " longer , same length as the Civic Si , You can run it on a GSR just use a shorter test pipe.
I would do the Kamakazi over the DC JDM . With a supercharger you have more bottom end than you can use anyway, so you may as well put it at the top where you use it. Plus you will get more ground clearance! .

I'm not sure they make a stainless one. The last ones I got from Endyn where Titainium coated or some thing, they looked real cool and seemed like they didn't get radiat much heat.
They come either nickel plated or ceramic coated. The ceramic coated one costs more and people have reported bad results about the ceramic wearing off. The nickel plated version works fine and is cheaper.

So if I was running a custom Carsound, just get one for an ITR I assume, with no 02 bungs. There wont be a problem putting the single 02 sensor into the header that, when stock, goes into the cat?
I heard I would need a spacer on top of the gasket in the middle of the 2 pieces to use an ITR Kami on a 94-99 GSR, is this not true? I was under the impression it wouldnt clear the oilpan, otherwise?
Thanks guys

All you have to do is ask for the one with a 2.5" collector and it'll be the same as the Endyn one. Again ITR fits better on Si, they make custom 3" collectors if you call Kamikazi directly (they're local to me) and you can save a whole lot of money if you've got an uncle with a business license and a few other friends who want headers too
