Default Weird electrical problem...main relay, no fuel pump??

started out as a bad dizzy, put my friends on and still didnt start..played around with it more and started to get no response (not turning over)..tapped the starter a few times and still nothing..i removed my kill switch and it started to crank but not turn over (fuel pump is not turning on) checked all grounds, their ok..changed the main relay numerous times with new ones, didnt work..i looked down at the main relay wires and one of them is melted/fried (yellow with black stripe)..what could this be?...the fuel pump will not turn on?? any help is appreciated, thanks guys

starter is fine, dizzy is fine, main relay is fine, grounds look ok

Check ground to your pump. I had the same problem, and it turned out that I had a short to ground from the relay to the pump. Pull your wires on your pump and check voltage with the key in the on position. If you've changed relays already (which I did as well), you probably have a short or open somewhere inline.

im not sure but i think that yellow and black wire is indeed the signal to your fuel pump, check the electrical diagram in a haynes and see. if that is indeed the wire and it is melted then it probly shorted out.

Have you tried a new ECU yet?

What do you mean the fuel pump "restarts"? And how does the ECU "flicker"?

Can you take pics? What does the melted wire look like? Usually a melted wire anywhere is a short to ground, or a cross short. If you can, take some jumper wires and bypass the wire from your relay to the pump, if your pump works, that's your problem. But remember, you're probably seeing the results of a main problem, and not the cause. A multimeter would be your best bet here, otherwise, it's going to be guess and check with a wiring diagram.
