Default weight reduction questions

I have some questions/thoughts

1. for a car that is driven in winter, are there any alternatives to running the stock blower motor?
I would just take it all out but sometimes I get the need for speed in winter and wanna drive this car and need to defrost my windshield in the AM.
could I just attach a fan to the heater core and only one vent blowing at the windshield?
would this be enough to defrost the windshield?

OR is it possible to get some type of electrical heater to get rid of the heater core and everything?

2. what are my options for a more compact windshield washer reservoir? i have intercooler piping where the reservoir used to be and the only place I can think of putting it is inside the car. :-(

3. has anybody cut their doors in a daily driver (not the drivers door obviously for safety reasons. but it seems like all other doors have a lot of metal that can be cut out. would this affect anything?

thanks!

1.Taking the old fan out just to put another in won't help you enough with weight reduction to make the job worthwhile, if at all. The blower is mostly plastic and pretty light. You'll want to keep in mind how the heater can help lower engine temp. I always crank the heater up before taking it over 8k RPM. Electric heaters suck up alot of juice as well, to say nothing about the fire hazard. A problem could melt your dash and wire harness.

2.Just about any container can be used as a WW rez and can be mounted almost anywhere. Look into fabricating a custom-shaped container to put in some unusual spot. Off the top of my head, the underside of the hood could work.

3.Why not just go for the dukes of hazard look. Weld em shut and get rid of whatever you want.

Well if there is a fire hazard, then an electric heater is out of the question for me.
I think i will either put a slim fan on the heater core and make just one vent or just leave the heater alone.

The reason why I don't wanna go for the dukes of hazard look is because doors have to open and close in order to pass inspection HAHA

Thanks for the help!

How is it not worth it when the acceleration and handling improves drastically when you remove around 200 lbs? I've done it on more than one car and the result was always the same.
