Yeah, its pretty much a "hot rod" now. It doesn't have a dash and is missing a few class mandatory items.

how much do you( the driver) weigh.. Because i had an EK and it was 2356lbs with me in it... And i didn't cut anythingggggg.. And i still had heat and the back and passanger belts, rear bumper support and power doors.

Granted you have a 6 point. But damn , why is it 2500+lbs?

Ok!! Lets see what you HAVE to keep to be legal for SFDW!!

*headliner
*passanger and driver seat
*rear plastics
*carpet
*all OEM glass
*door pannels

^^ That being said , everything else is fair game..

Front and rear bumper support, manual doors which should have came on that car from the factory, the rear seatbelts and buckels,if you get a fuel cell like the NRG Tech one you can save about 14lbs over the stock one, lighter wheels like skinnies, sound material, heater core is you can stand being in a soda can for a car in -32*, swapping to a steering wheel without a airbag.

At the extreme you cna cut the sheet metel thats behing the rear plastics. But seriously? Why? when you have a turbo car.

Better option is CF parts (hood, hatch, Fiberglass front )

i was 140lbs at the time also.. I'm 160lbs now ( i have to take two $hits b4 i drive the thing). I need to go on a jockey diet!

I still had a tonnn of stuff to take off , if needed! I was just too lazy to do it..

I seen your car at Fall Nat , sounded gooood. I think you need to focus a lil more on setting the suspension up better, and scaleing the car. What does you 60's look like?

I don't see you needing to cut the car whatt soo everrrr!

Ps: I just seen your sig.. Thats a hugee MPH for that ET! I assume you are spinning.

I gave up on weight reduction when I decided to drag race with a DSM.

Pulling apart your wiring harness and removing everything out of there that you deleted. Thats a ton of wiring.

All sound deatening, use dry ice to get the stuff off the floor, it works very well, and removes it clean.

Just basically removing any misc things you don't need, seatbelts, etc, heatercore, all your ducting under the dash.

Then start using some lightweight parts, like cf doors/hatch/hood/fenders, remove your bumper beams, etc.

Lighter brakes, lighter wheels, it can get expensive though to shed that last bit of weight.

My em1 is pretty bare...no heater core, no rear plastics, no sound deadening, no firewall mat, only a driver's seat, gutted the innards of the dash, removed a hell of a lot of wiring and extra bolts and stuff and it still weighed 25xx without me...I'm going to replace the driver's seat with a kirkey, I have rear skinnies to put on, gonna pull the sunroof out and put an aluminum plug in it. Don't really know what else to do besides door bars.

^^^ How is your car still that heavy? My em1 with basically the same weight reduction (still power windows, still has sunroof, all the wiring, and all seats but driver is a kirkey) and it weights 2320 with a full tank of gas and my street tires without me in it.
