There are multiple ways to install one of these, but I tee'd off one of my coolant lines with a brass tee that fit the sender inside and did it that way. You can also take the thermostat housing and place the sender in there as well.

Going through the same situation but with a B16. I figured that in order to get the most accurate temp reading, would be to install the sender on the upper radiator hose. But doing that is a bit tricky. So im thinking of putting a Tee where the stock temp sender goes and place the other sender with it. Would anyone happen to know the tread size of the stock ECT sender? Thanx

Or, how about using the Autometer Temp. Sender for both the stock & Autometer gauges? The Autometer temp sender seems to be a 1/8" thread pitch also.
