Default VTEC WIRING

I've just completed my swap and I have a bit of a small problem here. I am trying to wire up my Vtec. I have a 94 Civic Dx with an 88-91 B16a motor and using a reprogrammed P28 ecu. I know that the P28 doesn't detect a knock sensor, so I don't need to run that wire. I ran the Vtec Valve solenoid into A4, Vtec oil pressure into D6, and I am not sure where I need to run the other wires. If someone can give me a well detailed description of how the wires are ran, I will soon get started on it. Also, I am playing plug and play with running vacuum hoses correctly with the older gen b16a also. Thanks.

Pictures posted will be great.

if I'm sure, that is the only 2 wires you need to run.

All I needed on my Z6 SOHC VTEC into DX swap.

The "other 2 wires" are for knock sensor and GSR butterflys.
Kenji or Katman know for sure.

Yup just those two... oh but don't forget the ground. That should be it if I remember correctly.

well actually you are gonna have some problems here unless you are also running the 92-95 fuel injectors and the same distributor as well. the P28 ecu (0r any obd-1 ecu) will not run the earlier motor as the I/O on many of the sensors is different pulse widths and voltages.....

otherwise you should be set just adding the few vtec wires mentioned... and rewiring the ECT switch wich is in a different place...

good luck...

What he said
You can use your stock dx injectors in a -pinch- in the meantime. Just try not to take too many trips up towards 8k

I am running the dx injectors on my car because I know that the impedence level of the injectors are different compared to the older gen B16a. Also, I am running a 95 Delsol Dohc Vtec distributor with the P28 ecu. I believe what I may have been missing was the ground wire. I will check it out and see what's up. Also, may oil light stays on. However, when I check the oil, the dipstick shows that it's good. Thanks for the replies.

oil in the pan does not = oli pressure in the motor. BIG Difference!! The light indicates pressure not quantity of oil...
