Default VTEC Problem

I have a 95 eg hatch with a full jdm b16 swap.

I bent 2 valves in the head and had them replaced and the head checked out by a local Napa Machine Shop. Got the head back from the Machine Shop and put the head on. Test drove it and vtec worked fine the first 3 or 4 times I tried it. Came back to the house and the timing belt was loose so it was tapping the valve cover making a weird noising and tightened the belt up. After tightening the belt VTEC will not engage. I have replaced the solenoid with 2 different solenoids that i know work, have checked the wiring and its all good, have tried everything i know of and still nothing. I have a chipped p28 right now in it, but have also tried a jdm p30 so its not the ecu either.

Any help?

The knock sensor has nothing to do with the Vtec system...

Check the oil pressure and it should be at idle 20psi and rev it to 4,000 rpms and it shoud go up to 60psi.If it doesnt reach 60 and is below 40,Its your oil pump going out. Also try another oil pressure sensor on the V-Tec solenoid.
