Default help me please huge problem....

ok thanks for lookin on to the problem...

Ihave a 92vx hatch 1st gen b16 block 00 type r head, p28 rechipped...Ok before i put the type r head on my car ran fine vtec kicked in i could feel it pull, now i put the type r head on and i dont have vtec..i know for a fact i dont....and yes i let the car warm up...

things ive tried to fix the problem:

- no check engine light
-speedo works

-changed oil
-changed ecu
-changed vtec noid and pressure switch
-replaced o-ring and dowel pin in head

I dont know what else to try...

the p28 is chipped for an obd2 head on an obd0 block?

doesn't the 00 head want a signal from a knock sensor or it goes into limp mode?

Id still say try another ECU, make sure its not looking for a knock sensor

one of my buddies had an obd0 engine with an obd1 ecu... strange that it didn't throw any codes... but like you said, that same car wouldn't initialize vtec
