Icon2 VTEC Engagement Questions

Alright. I have a B16a with i/h/e and currently have 2 ecus. I have a chipped P28 ecu that was chipped by speed innovations for a b16a with exhaust and air intake only. The vtec engagement on the P28 is set at 4500 rpms. I also have a JDM P30 ecu which i believe vtec engagement is at 5500rpms. I was wondering which ecu is should use? It also seems like vtec engagment at that low of an rpm wouldnt be to good on the motor. But I don't know to much about ecus. I also have a very slight ticking coming from the head. I have re-adjusted the valves to spec of .006 in. intake and .007 in. exhaust. This made it sound better but it still is there. Could this low vtec engagment cause this or make it worse? thanks for your help.

P28 is a d16 ecu, unless it is chipped, it is completely wrong for that motor.

If you were to read my post it says that it IS chipped for a B16a.

Stock is 5800, right? If you have not cammed or ported it, moving it too much will only hurt your power. Use the P30.
