VTEC activation Switch ????
bad idea
dont do this
without the proper ecu (wich is why im assuming you are using a switch)
you wont have the proper fuel maps for vtec and could damage the engine.

i since i can afford ITBs at the moment i was plannin to use carbs ( i was always a fan of carbs on other cars ), and always wanted to put them on a VTEC motor but since i knew that VTEC uses the ECU i figured that they will not be able to fit. but i saw the post about VTEC and carbs but have no idea how to make them work together.
I hear i can use a VTEC activation switch and it'll work but i have no idea how to make it work with carbs.
Any ideas?

What motor are you wanting to put carbs on? It sounds like you are trying to add VTEC to any motor. You can run carbs, individual throttle bodies, dual throttle bodies, or a single throttle body on any motor. We need to know what motor you are working with though.
I am working with the D15b SOHC VTEC . i may be mating the D16 sohc vtec head . how will the carbs and vtec work together ? how does the vtec activation switch work and allow thevtec to engage ?

I take it you are doing a mini-me? You might want to ty and find someone that works with carbs as to how to setup your fuel system. That is foreign to me. You can use a MSD rpm activation switch to turn on the VTEC. Most people using stand alone engine management systems use it for the very same thing.
