Default VAFC vtec?

Ok i installed the VAFC a while back and the vtec x-over point (Lo--->Hi) read 5800K rpm. My question is this; is this when the vtec lobes switch over or is this when the secondarys open up. It feels like my secondaries open up at 6100-6200. Confused. Help!

V-AFC controls VTEC only, not the secondary butterflies.

so when the VAFC say Hi--->Lo= 5800 my lobes switch over at that point. That's no good. Isn't the vtec on a 96 GSR supposed to be like 4800k or something? Looks like i need to drop it down right? My secondary butterflies will still open at 6200k no matter what right?

Yes, the butterflys are not supported by the vafc. For the vtec x-over: if you have stock cams, you should leave it close to stock. Maybe a few hundred higher or lower, but you'll need dyno time to figure out where.

not to be a dick or anything but whoever said vafc ONLY controls VTEC... WRONG!!!! you can also use the Vafc to control fuel curve, thats what i did with my car and seems to be running pretty great for me lol... i had no fuel adjusments for my ECU made either, just a dyno and the proper tech for the VAFC and my stuff is running better than ever now

I set my VAFC like this: Lo---->Hi=4400. Now there is no big surge of power at 6000 or 5800. This is how vtec is supposed to feel right. Before i had the x-over at 5800 and there was a big surge at that point.
