heres the deal, my bro wants v-tec to engage at 4k. all motor b16 with ls tranny. this is the stupidest thing i have ever heard but that ****** wont listen to me MAYBE he'll listen to some of you.

the next stupidest thing is that ls tranny on his b16

 

ITs stock with just basic bolt ons.. he had a complet b16 swap but blew out the tranny.. so he didnt have the $ for another b16 tranny so he bought a ls one instead. <-- and yes i told him he was stupid for doing that. anyone please explain to him y its stupid. thanks.

 

Tell him Honda has it set at 5.5k for a reason.

because the engine isnt flowing enough air at that engine speed to take advantage of the bigger vtec profile

my vtec comes in at 4200. i picked up 2 1/2 tenths in an 1/8 goin from 5200 to 4200. guess im stupid to. well no not really i just dont care that my bottom end is starving for oil just so i can run 9.95 instead of 10.20(d16a6 w/ z6 head in an 1/8). ive been runnin it like that for 1 1/2 yrs and still cant seem to blow it up.

 

O i have an EBAY chip in my ecu as we speak.. quote i didnt buy it..lol. so i have to base map back.. thanks y. thanks on the help..

cut jumper J1 in the ecu. it'll go back to the stock map.

 

is that the resistor?

what/where is that located?
