Default V-AFC with Boost?

Considering prior to building up may B18A if I want to go Boost or not to Boost. I know with the ECU I would have to use check valves to trick the map sensor. Seeing I already have the V-AFC and that runs inline with the map sensor to the ECU will that trick it so it doesn't see boost or still need check valves? Just more useless knowledge I can use in the future really.

you have 2 options. if you want to use the V-AFC the way it was designed and fine tune your fuel curve, you'll need check valves.

if you want to use the 'AFC hack' that MANY people have used, then you don't need check valves.

I've run it both ways and had fine results with both. The choice should be made based on what type of setup you have (how big are your injectors, do you not have a FMU, etc...)
