using a more subtle ecu prog than my last.... but worse MPG
i have a stock b18c5 and i orginally used a jun3 proggy which put down good numbers i might add. so i finally got a kenji-spec chip with his version of a stock ITR fuel map with stock vtec kick-in. i used to get anywhere from 230-270 miles on a tank (10 gallons) with my jun3 prog.
i just crossed to 200 miles on my new chip and my tank is almost empty. wtf? does it take a while for the ecu to learn the chip? is this normal? when i rechipped my ecu i disconnected the ecu and battery for over an hour while i swapped chips in the ecu. so now i am on my first full tank with my new chip and like i said, im at like 20mpg
anyone w/ a similar experiance?

for those that may have the same question or problem as i had, i will follow up with the results.
first off, my first burned tank of gas with the kenji ecu was with 93 octane coming from an air force base. military installations usually have shitty gas. everywhere ive been at least.
2nd, my first tank was also mostly city driving and flooring it on the freeway.
I also didnt take into account i have a 4.7 FD, and cruising at 90 on the freeway would equal roughly 5,200 rpms... roughly
well on my 2nd 3rd and 4th tank ( i had to drive to new orleans twice, and pensacola once ) i noticed a way better MPG using chevron or bp 93. on the freeway i would average 4000-45000 rpms. i got roughly 28-29 mpg w/ 95% being highway. 100% city being roughly 21-22 mpg. that's it
FYI

yeah. i think my first tank was some bad gas. so, it threw my off and i freaked out. all is good.
29mpg highway 22ish street on your chip. works great
