Default ECU Chip advice. ECU GURUs please help!

First of all gas prices suck ***.

I'm currently using a P28 chipped with one of KATMANs old FFS.1.DOHC ECU programs from back in the day. This program is a little too much for my car right now, and I'm running quite rich. I don't feel like burning excess gas with these prices, and want to have a milder setup.

Since the ECU is already chipped and socketed, I'm wondering if there is any possibility of finding a CHIP that is very similar to a stock B16A P30 ECU or even P73 ITR specs??? Im looking for a 5,500 RPM VTEC crossover and an 8,500 RPM rev limit.

If it is possible to find a chip that acts like a stock VTEC ECU, what is the process of taking out the chip I have and putting the new one in the socket?

Where is Katman when you need him?

I figure that this will be cheaper/easier than tracking down a whole new ECU and paying $150-$250.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
