OK so the rundown: i just bought the car, so i dont know much about it. It just had a LS/Vtec swap and the car is untuned.
I thought it was buring oil so i did a compression check. I was very pleased with the results of 265 all accross the board. But when i was re-installing the spark plugs the last one, the fourth does not want to go back in. So in fear of stripping it or even breaking the plug off i didnt want to force it any further. Now there is a small gap.




Question 1- is it bad to drive your car with a gap between the valve cover and spark plug wire like this? And what can i do to fix this problem?

Next when the car is at high rpms it blows out white smoke, which led me to believe the car was buring oil in the first place. It also smells like oil whenever it blows out smoke.
Question 2- Could this be due to the car not being tuned? The CEL is throwing a knock sensor code. But should it be blowing white smoke from the exhaust, or the knock sensor code and the untune the cause of the smoke?
