Understanding this thing called "Tuning"
Alright, I have a P06 ecu that has been chipped for vtec. It also has the male header CN2 connecter soldered in for data logging. I am having trouble understanding how to install uberdata/crome/neptune. So do I have to take out the existing chip and burn a new one (with uberdata/crome/neptune) then put it back in? Seems like a lot of work. Here is a picture of my ecu.
ok heres the deal...crome/neptune/uber are all rom editiors...the chip you see in the you ecu in the lower left corner is a eprom....how it all works is you create a rom image in a tuning software...burn the chip and then install it in you ecu...then by using a dataloggin cable from the 4 port cn2 we are able to datalog....we wire in a wideband to the existing o2 sensor input and then can see it dataloggin also / everything else that is happening....then we are able to see where we are on our map...and able to make adjustments etc....then burn a new chip and test and datalog again
