okay heres the deal. i bought a used turbo from this guy. he installed it and everything. BUt my car has been smoking ever since then. I know for sure that its not the rings or the valve stem seals or the head gasket. im sure its the turbo. I got a fuel regulator and set it to stock cuz i was told that it was runing a bit rich. still smoking and even when im not boostin. NOw i wanna know what could be on the turbo thats making it smoke? used turbo?
possibly the oil seals
http://www.cheapturbo.com rebuilds them for a couple hundred bucks. but before you go spending all that money remove the turbo, bolt up the stock header and see if its still smoking.

does the turbo boost ok?

well it could be somthing simple like a seal on the oil feed or return line

i still think its the seals on the actual compressor because i dont think the feed/return lines will impact exhaust smoke.

you might have 2 leaks.

see this is why i will NEVER buy a used turbo.

I think that as long as it's not a ball bearing turbo, you can rebuild it.
www.turboxpress sells rebuild kits. I don't think they're listed on the site, but email them about it. The sites+ a little cheesey, but they have good prices.
