Turbo Install - need help with oil pressure sensor and O2 sensor...
Ok, these two stupid parts have put a complete halt on my install for today.
First off, the oil pressure sender... does anyone know what size wrench this thing takes for sure? I just went out and cleaned out the parts store's supply of large metric wrenches... got 19, 21 and 22mm, and none fit. For people who have removed the oil pressure sender before, how did you get that sucker out with the motor in the car? I've tried an adjustable wrench, but I'm afraid I'll round off the corners and then I'll really be f**ked. Any tips?
Next, the O2 sensor on the old manifold... this one is a 22mm, but I can't get the wrench on there cause the indent is too small... what's the trick here? Also, I assume the sensor is pretty resistant to heat since it's in the exhaust manifold, but is it safe to use a torch to heat up the exhaust manifold around the sensor so I can get it out a little easier?
If you've read this far, thanks, and please reply if you've done this before... I'm getting pretty frustrated here..

I think it's a 24mm deep socket for the oil pressure sending unit.
Use a box- or open-end wrench to remove the oxygen sensor. Hammer the wrench to get it to break loose.

There is a special socket you can rent from the auto parts store. Makes removing the 02 a piece of cake.
I've found that using a wrench instead of an oxygen sensor socket works better. You get a better angle.
Thanks for the help guys... turns out I had a standard socket that fit the oil pressure sender almost perfectly, so I got that off with a little trouble. The O2 sensor was another story though, I heated that sumbitch with a torch for like 5 minutes and it still took brute force and a breaker bar to get it out, and it stripped half the threads off. Oh well, I just cleaned the threads that were left up with a file and installed it onto the new manifold and tightened it down good.
In other news, turbo install went well... motor started up on the first crank, let her warm up a little and took it out for a test spin and... DAMN. that's all i got to say 'bout that.
